Application form:
Applications for any of the courses presented by the Good Governance Programme (GGP) can be made either by e-mail, by post or by fax. Click on the link below to download the application form - it contains all the relevant information.
Applications should include:

Two letters of recommendation
- Covering letter stating why you would like to participate in this course.

Application for scholarship (if applicable).
Closing date for applications:
Applications should be submitted at least one month prior to the starting date of the course. Admission will be on a competitive basis and the admission criteria will include working experience, academic qualifications, and the levels of commitment and professionalism displayed through past experience. In respect of South African candidates special consideration will be given to the advancement of potential applicants from previously disadvantaged groups.
Confirmation of your booking:
Participants admitted to any particular course will be notified via e-mail, post or fax.

The following fees are applicable:
- R3000.00 (ZAR) for the one-week course (excludes accommdation)
- R6000.00 (ZAR) for the two-week course (excludes accommodation)
Please Note:
- Payment for GGP courses may not be made to any third party.
- Payments must be made directly into the University's bank account at ABSA or in person
at the Client Service Centre on the main campus.
- Payments must be made before the course date unless otherwise arranged.

Please Note:
Scholarships do not include airfare and participants are responsible for their own travel arrangements and the cost thereof. Also indicate in your application for scholarship whether you would still like to be considered for admittance in the event that you are not granted a scholarship. Please note that scholarships are generally not available and are largely dependent on funding received.

- Participants residing in Pretoria or surrounding areas, naturally, need not worry about accommodation.
- All participants will be accommodated in a comfortable hotel or a guesthouse in close proximity to the university. Accommodation includes bed and breakfast.
- Recipients of scholarships are expected to share accommodation.
- Expenses such as laundry, bar, telephone, etc are for own account and will not be covered by the Centre.
- Lunches will be served on a daily basis.
- Dinner is for own account.
- There is a variety of restaurants, cafés, coffee shops and take away / fast food places in Hatfield and surrounding areas.
- Participants are to cover their own transport to South Africa as well as from the airport.
- The Centre will provide a daily courtesy shuttle to and from the hotel/guesthouse to the university.
- Any additional transport is for own account.

Course Materials:
- Summaries of the lectures will be available upon receipt by the various presenters.
- These summaries will also be made available on this website.
Conduct During Sessions:

Tape-recording of the lectures and seminars is not permitted.
- Taking photographs in a session is not permitted.
- All mobile phones must be switched off during sessions.
- Participants must be punctual for every session.
- If a participant is absent from more than 3 sessions during a two-week course or 2
sessions during a one-week course, such a participant will not qualify for a certificate.
Venues:
- Venue details will be made available upon arrival.
- Sessions will either be held in the Post-Graduate Centre or in a lecture venue at the
Centre for Human Rights.
- Venues are fully equipped with overhead projectors, data projectors, screens,
air-conditioning, etc.
General:
Please note that the Centre will not supply consumables such as writing paper, pens, etc. These items can be obtained at the bookshop on campus. (Cash payments only)
